There are some individual pitchers that may be comparable. Trahan at NCSU and Pickett at UNC come to mind. I think Duke has a freshman lefty(Davidson is her name I think) and a few others around the league that could step up. However, FSU has really good depth and Cagle gives Clemson, a relatively new program, a jump to go with a little depth. Six games in 4 days against FSU and Clemson is a good test to start and VT weathered it offensively and defensively. Room to grow, challenges down the line but, after this weekend nothing, in my opinion, that should be more intimidating than what they handled this weekend. There is a lot to be optimistic about I believe. Hate to drop the openers of 3 game series but, you have to applaud the resilience, again in my opinion.
